Rowland was the founding pastor of Knox PCEA from its foundation at Wantirna in 1987 until his retirement 30 June 2012 when his assistant became sole minister until he transferred to Narre Warren PCEA in June 2019. Rowland trained for the ministry in the Free Church of Scotland College, Edinburgh 1972-75, and in 1984 received a doctorate in Presbyterian history from the Australian College of Theology in Sydney. He is married to Anna and has five adult children. Rowland currently has responsibility for Knox PCEA pending securing a suitable permanent minister.


      John spent his working life with the Rural Finance Corporation (originally the Soldier Settlement Commission). John is married to Lorraine and they have two adult sons, one of whom (Stewart) is an elder in the Narre Warren PCEA. John, formerly an elder with the Presbyterian Church of Victoria served as an elder of the PCEA from 1984, became emeritus in 2017 but resumed service in 2019.

Chris hails from Queensland, but Melbourne has been his home since 2000. He works in telecommunications. Chris is married to Janine and they have four children. He was ordained to the eldership in 2017 and takes a particular interest in youth ministry.
Knox is a happy congregation with members fulfilling tasks in Sunday School, bible class, prayer and bible studies and the knitting group.
